Activity setup
Activity steps
Step 1: Provide detailed instructions on assignments for students
Instructors set up detailed instructions in the Peer Review tool, detailing the requirements for the assignment and important deadlines. Written documents, video, or audio files can be added to the instructions to provide more explanations. Students read the instructions and discuss their questions with instructors during an in-class session.

Step 2: Students work on the first draft
Students work on the first draft of the assignment (e.g. research paper, essay, report, etc.) based on the given instructions and using a highly detailed grading rubric, where each assessment criterion is broken down into multiple levels of mastery, each with a clear, pre-defined description provided by the instructor.

Step 4: Students receive personalized feedback
Instructors can also choose to enable the Feedback Coach feature, which generates instant, formative AI-powered feedback on technical aspects of students’ writing, such as spelling, grammar, structure, and more. This further helps students to improve their work later on.
