Activity steps

Read instructions: Students review the activity guidelines and learning objectives to understand the task requirements.
Open document: Students open the interactive document to find their assigned pair's section.
Record sentences: Students click on the discussion thread, and record a short audio of the sentence, stressing different words to convey varying meanings.
Peer feedback: After submitting their recordings, students listen to their classmates’ sentences and provide constructive comments within the discussion thread of the interactive document. ‍
Grading: Students are given a grade for replying to at least 2 discussion threads.

In this activity

The primary focus of the activity is practicing sentence stress, but the concept can be adapted to other relevant topics using recordings in interactive document discussion threads.
Students are organized into pairs to complete the activity, though this grouping can be adjusted to suit your class size or structure.
Anonymity is disabled, so students can see who commented on their recordings; this setting can be changed if needed.
Grading is based on students replying to at least two peer recordings within the discussion threads, but this requirement can be modified according to course needs.
